Marcus Rashford Class
Marcus Rashford is a famous footballer born on 31st October 1997, in Wythenshawe, a town in south Manchester. At the age of five he started playing football for Fletcher Moss Rangers. He joined the academy at Manchester United two years later. Although his football was successful, Rashford childhood was challenging. Due to poverty, his family relied on food banks and soup kitchens for food. This influenced his campaigning during the national lockdown in 2020. He helped deliver food for families who depended on free school meals.
